DR Kiran Kalian is a specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist accredited by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (RANZCOG) and the Australian Medical Board of Australia.

Dr Kiran Kalian has extensive clinical and academic experience. He has trained and is an experienced open and minimally invasive surgeon. He has been involved in public and private practice as well as academic tertiary education for more than 30 years. He gained his experience in working in two continents over this period. He has gained adequate insight into the women’s health issues having done a long period of locum work across Australia.

Dr Kalian is a senior clinical lecturer at the Eastern clinical school and the University of Monash - Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. 

He works at Eastern Health as a senior consultant and where he is the Lead in education in the department of obstetrics and Gynaecology. He participates in the theoretical and practical training of junior and trainee specialists. He serves as an examiner to RANZCOG.

Dr Kalian is a life member of the International Society for Gynaecologic Endoscopy and ex board member of the society

Dr Kalian main expertise is gynaecologic surgery and especially Minimally Invasive Procedures. He has an interest in the surgical education and skills development in common gynaecological operation. He has specialist interest in office based gynaecological procedures that are cost effective and evidenced based.

Dr Kalian admits his private patients to Epworth Eastern hospitals.
